2021 UMi Co-Authors Universal Principles for a Conscious Attention Economy (CAE)

Ethical data governance is critical to the future of our digital world—UMi helped shape the principles defining a Conscious Attention Economy.

As part of a UN-backed effort, the CAE Working Group, led by Patricia Klauer and Kristoph Doefler, developed the first ethical framework for the $500B Attention Economy. Sponsored by Future Capital, the initiative invited public and private stakeholders to collaborate on implementing these principles across various industries and marketplaces. UMi contributed its expertise in Data Sovereignty, ensuring that Web1, Web2, Web3, and Web4 technologies were properly leveraged for human-centric digital ecosystems. Recognizing a gap in the framework, UMi proposed and successfully added an 11th Universal Principle, ensuring that Data Sovereignty remains integral to future economic infrastructure. This effort aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), opening new funding pathways for ethical innovation.
