As our global economy evolves at an unprecedented rate, new strategies are required to ensure infrastructure can support both present and future generations. The NESD Proposal, spearheaded by Dr. Chantal Line Carpentier at the UN, called upon public and private sectors to define eight sub-economies essential for humanity’s long-term sustainability. Among these was the Yellow NESD Sub-Economy, recognizing the growing impact of the Attention Economy and the need for conscious, ethical data practices. UMi aligns with this vision by advancing Data Sovereigntyas a core principle, fostering collaborative ecosystems where communities, researchers, and enterprises co-create ethical data governance models.
